Allison Takes the Reins at PHNS

Health care outsource vendor PHNS Inc. has named Daniel Allison as CEO and a director. He succeeds co-founder Chick Young who is retiring as CEO but will remain chair.

All other executive managers of the Dallas-based firm remain. PHNS provides outsourced services for health information management, information technology and patient accounting/business office departments of hospitals and delivery system. The company has about 450 clients.

Allison most recently served as manager of North American Operations for Electronic Data Systems in Plano, Texas. Units under his control generated $7 billion in annual revenue. He previously managed several large outsourcing contracts for EDS.
