HDM Breaking News, January 7, 2009
DSS Inc. will open source the code of its vxVistA electronic health records software. The software is a commercialized, enhanced version of the Department of Veterans Affairs' VistA information system.
The Juno Beach, Fla.-based vendor also has joined the Open Health Tools Foundation of Asheville, N.C. The foundation is an open source community of developers who provide software components that others can use to build software products.
