The Office of the National Coordinator will host a three-day summit in Washington this month, with two days reserved for grantees of government funding and the other day open to all stakeholders.

Registration for the 2011 ONC Grantee and Stakeholder Summit, Nov. 16-18, is free with additional information available here.

November 16 is a grantee meeting and training day, open to state health information exchanges, Beacon Communities, regional HIT extension centers and the federally-supported community college HIT training programs. November 18 is MU University Training Day, open to regional extension center grantees and recipients with sessions covering a dozen issues.

Sandwiched between the training days is the grantee and stakeholder summit on November 17. Presentations cover privacy and security; lessons learned by HIEs, RECs and Beacon Communities; and using meaningful use to transform care. Participation in the summit on Nov. 17 also will be available via the Web, with ONC providing registration information in coming days.
