Janet Dillione, who recently resigned as CEO at Siemens Health Services, has been named executive vice president and general manager of the health care business unit of Nuance Communications, a vendor of speech recognition software for multiple industries.

Dillione will report to Paul Ricci, chair and CEO at Burlington, Mass.-based Nuance. John Shagoury and Jeanne McCann, co-presidents of the health care unit, will stay with the company and transition to other leadership roles after a transition period.

In addition to the health care market, Nuance serves the automotive, education, financial, government and legal sectors. More information is available at nuance.com.
