NIST Retains Certification Services

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has awarded a contract worth nearly $400,000 to Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. for technical consulting services related to certification of electronic health records.


The National Institute of Standards and Technology has awarded a contract worth nearly $400,000 to Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. for technical consulting services related to certification of electronic health records.

NIST is a unit of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, NIST is responsible for developing program documents to support the emerging HHS Health IT Certification Program, and to develop a proficiency testing framework to support HHS in authorizing certification and testing organizations.
