The National eHealth Collaborative has created NHIN University, a program to host free Web seminars on development of the nationwide health information network.

The collaborative is a federally funded public-private organization to promote and drive consensus for the secure nationwide exchange of health information.

Upcoming seminars, presented by members of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, cover secure and meaningful exchange of health information over the Internet on March 16; and architectures for health information exchange in mid-April. A seminar pegged for mid-May will cover trust issues of the NHIN; a presenter has not yet been selected.

The seminars will be ongoing. NHIN University also will provide recordings and transcripts of seminars. More information is available at nationalehealth.org/NHIN-U.
