Claims clearinghouse Emdeon Inc. has launched a Web site with resources to aid in the transition to the HIPAA 5010 transaction standards, NCPDP D.0 pharmacy standards and ICD-10 code sets.
Claims clearinghouse Emdeon Inc. has launched a Web site with resources to aid in the transition to the HIPAA 5010 transaction standards, NCPDP D.0 pharmacy standards and ICD-10 code sets.
The site, called HIPAA Simplified, includes technical gap analyses in layman's terms, such as changes between the existing HIPAA 4010A transactions and 5010. It also includes trading partner transition strategy information, testing tools, resource pages and frequently asked questions. Customized content is available in six industry segments: payers, pharmacies, physicians, hospitals, dentists and vendor partners.
The site is in various stages of completion. For instance, the dental and pharmacy pages are not yet launched, and Nashville, Tenn.-based Emdeon will offer information on ICD-10 at a later time on the other pages.
