Two investment firms have acquired long-term care/home health/rehabilitation software vendor HealthMEDX and named industry veteran Pamela Pure as CEO.

Spectrum Equity Investors and Trident Capital spent an undisclosed sum for the Ozark, Mo.-based company with more than 3,000 sites using its clinical/financial/administrative information system.

Pure was president of the McKesson Technology Solutions unit of McKesson Corp. before leaving in March 2009. She also served at IDX Systems Corp., now part of GE Healthcare, and Shared Medical Systems, now part of Siemens. In addition to Pure, the investors brought on Vince Estrada as executive vice president of business development and CFO. He previously held similar roles at Visicu.

Charlie Daniels will remain president of HealthMEDX and Dan Cobb will remain chief technology officer.
