Business software vendor Sage North America has named Betty Otter-Nickerson as president of the Sage Healthcare Division, Tampa, Fla. The company serves more than 80,000 physicians with practice management and electronic health records software.
Business software vendor Sage North America has named Betty Otter-Nickerson as president of the Sage Healthcare Division, Tampa, Fla. The company serves more than 80,000 physicians with practice management and electronic health records software.
Lindy Benton, who joined the company as COO in August 2008 and was responsible for day-to-day operations, remains in that position.
Otter-Nickerson most recently served as COO of the LIVESTRONG Foundation, a cancer survivorship network that is part of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. She spent a decade with business applications vendor BMC Software of Houston, rising to vice president of operations for product management and development. Otter-Nickerson also led two entrepreneurial ventures, Vincera Software and Gallery Watch, and began her professional career in social work. She will report to Sue Swenson, CEO at Sage North America.
