New Leader at CareFusion
San Diego-based CareFusion Corp., a multi-billion dollar spin-off of technology from Cardinal Health, has named Kieran Gallahue as chair and CEO. He succeeds David Schlotterbeck, who previously announced he would retire at the end of February.
San Diego-based CareFusion Corp., a multi-billion dollar spin-off of technology from Cardinal Health, has named Kieran Gallahue as chair and CEO. He succeeds David Schlotterbeck, who previously announced he would retire at the end of February.
Gallahue since January 2003 has served in senior positions, most recently as president, CEO and director, at ResMed, a San Diego-based vendor of equipment to diagnose and treat sleep-related respiratory disorders. He previously served at Nanogen, a DNA research and medical informatics firm, and Instrumentation Laboratory, which makes diagnostic instruments.
CareFusion's products include the Alaris IV pumps; Pyxis automated dispensing systems and hand-held bar code technology for positive patient identification; MedMined electronic infection surveillance system, AVEA respiratory care products; and ChloraPrep skin preparation products.
