New GE Product Monitors Medical Device Networks

GE Healthcare has introduced a remote network monitoring service for medical devices.

The OnWatch for Clinical Networks application, which includes analytics capability, enables biomedical engineers at hospitals to continuously monitor equipment and receive alerts about outages, device malfunctions and network intrusions.

The product assesses which devices on the network have technical abnormalities when compared against other devices, reports on each device’s service history, shuts down parts of the network when malfunctions are detected, and monitors and accesses network devices from any location with an Internet connection.
