NCQA Seeks Comment on HEDIS Measures for 2014

The National Committee for Quality Assurance has issued its proposals for the 2014 HEDIS measures of clinical quality and patient satisfaction, and seeks comment from health care industry stakeholders.

NCQA has proposed a new measure, Inappropriate Cervical Cancer Screening in Adolescent Females. The organization has proposed changes in the following measures: Breast Cancer Screening, Cervical Cancer Screening, Childhood Immunization Status, Management of Urinary Incontinence in Older Adults, Potentially Harmful Drug-Disease Interactions in the Elderly, Care for Older Adults, Flu Shots for Older Adults/Flu Shots for Adults Ages 50-64, Relative Resource Use and Guidelines for Effectiveness of Care Measures.
