The MobiSecure SMS product is targeted for telehealth and case/disease management programs. The service includes unique authentication using one-time passwords, encryption, remote wiping of data if a mobile device is stolen or lost, and message lengths of up to 1,400 characters, according to the Toronto-based vendor. The application also offers delivery and read-receipt confirmation messages to users.
The application, one of several being introduced by the company to support mobile health care, works on Java, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, BREW, iPhone and Android mobile platforms. More information is available at diversinet.com.
