Mobile App Aids in PTSD Treatment

The Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs are jointly developing a series of smartphone applications to assist in mental health treatment.

The PTSD Coach is the first application, targeting veterans with diagnosed or suspected post-traumatic stress disorder. Content on the application covers learning about the condition, resources for support, screening, tracking and managing symptoms; and treatments that work.

PTSD Coach is available for download via the iTunes store with an Android version coming soon, according to the departments. Click here for more information.
