Microsoft Corp. has introduced a suite of services to build and roll out statewide health insurance exchanges mandated under the health care reform law.


Microsoft Corp. has introduced a suite of services to build and roll out statewide health insurance exchanges mandated under the health care reform law.

The Microsoft State Health Insurance Exchange includes a core data exchange platform from the Redmond, Wash.-based vendor and additional functionalities from vendor partners. For instance, South Jordan, Utah-based Extend Health Inc. offers software to handle premium administration, plan comparisons, enrollment and call center operations.

Additional components from other partners will include eligibility, case management and data analytics functionality. More information is available at microsoft.com/hhs and extendhealth.com.
