Michigan HIE Signs Medication History Management Platform Deal
HIE Great Lakes Health Connect in Grand Rapids, Mich., is now making available to its more than 120 member hospitals and their physician providers the MedHx medication history management platform from Rockville, Md.-based DrFirst.
HIE Great Lakes Health Connect in Grand Rapids, Mich., is now making available to its more than 120 member hospitals and their physician providers the MedHx medication history management platform from Rockville, Md.-based DrFirst.
MedHx will provide the HIEs participating providers a comprehensive medication history, including industry-standard resources for medication claims and pharmacy fill data.
In addition to industry-standard data, MedHx also includes DrFirsts proprietary Wide Area Patient Search data network. The WAPS network aggregates incremental prescribing data from DrFirsts network of providers, electronic health records partners, and hosted payer data.
Great Lakes Health Connect and DrFirst went live in October 2014, with Spectrum Health Big Rapids and Spectrum Health Ludington hospitals. These sites will be using the MedHx technology in their emergency room, ambulatory surgery, MSP, critical care unit, obstetric, and inpatient rehabilitation departments.
