The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has awarded grants totaling $25 million over three years to use health information technology to increase access to behavioral health services.

The funds, to increase access via Web-based services and mobile device apps, will target consumers in remote areas or underserved populations. SAMHSA, a unit of the Department of Health and Human Services, awarded 29 grants to organizations in 21 states.

The grants annually range from $262,579 to $280,000. More information is available at samhsa.gov/Grants/.
