Medline Web Site Goes Mobile

The National Library of Medicine has launched Mobile Medline Plus, making a subset of the content of its MedlinePlus Web site for consumer medical information accessible via mobile computing devices.


The National Library of Medicine has launched Mobile Medline Plus, making a subset of the content of its MedlinePlus Web site for consumer medical information accessible via mobile computing devices.

Mobile MedlinePlus is available in English and Spanish and works with any smart phone or other Web-enabled mobile device. It includes summaries of more than 800 diseases, wellness topics and health care news. It also offers information on prescription and over-the-counter medications and an illustrated medical encyclopedia.

The National Library of Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health, is the nation's largest medical library. More information is available at http://m.medlineplus.gov and http://medlineplus.gov.
