FreeRxReminder.com, a Web site that enables consumers to be sent reminders to take their medications, is expanding its services to provider and payer organizations.

The free reminder service is operated by Group Net LLC of Baton Rouge, La., which arranges volume-based pharmaceutical discount pricing for the uninsured. Consumers can receive reminders via text or e-mail messages.

Now, provider and payer organizations can offer the service by having a widget, or icon, placed on their Web site that takes a patient to the FreeRxReminder.com site. The service can be private labeled to tell consumers that the medication reminders are provided by a specific provider or insurance company.

More information is available at freerxreminder.com and freerxreminder.com/institutionalreminders.html.
