Silverlink Communications, a vendor of automated, speech-enabled interactive voice response telephone technology, is targeting new services to Medicare plans.
Burlington, Mass.-based Silverlink works with providers, insurers and drug companies to develop automated, scripted telephone calls to consumers and patients. An insurer, for instance, can use the service to automatically call women due for a mammography and inquire if they have had it done and if not, the reasons why.
With Medicare open enrollment starting in October, significant plan and rate changes, along with health reform proposals, likely will raise confusion for Medicare members and potential enrollees, the company says. It is offering Medicare plans a variety of programs to educate their members on benefit changes, helping them better understand options and pointing them to resources to make informed decisions.
