A new Web site offers consumers information about medical tourism. The site, YourMedicalTravel.com, is dedicated to the emerging trend of U.S. residents traveling abroad to receive medical care at lower costs.

It offers travel tips, cost comparisons for specific procedures, legal issues, insurance options and other material. Visitors can access information on specific destinations, such as India, Thailand, Singapore and New Zealand, as well as learn about their treatment options, view quality benchmarks and learn about their options for aftercare.

CPR Communications, an Elmwood, N.J.-based health care marketing and communications firm, runs the site. It also publishes MedicalTravelToday.com, a site designed for businesses that are stakeholders in the medical tourism industry.
