Medfusion, Meridian integrate billing practice management systems

Vendor partnership could result in more patient payment options, says John Juzaitis.

Medfusion is extending its partnership with Meridian Medical Management to enable a further integration of products to give patients an easier way to consider payment options at physician practices.

The two companies will work together so Medfusion’s product will integrate with Meridian’s practice management and electronic medical records product to support patient payments.

The companies said the integration will enable both clinical and administrative information to flow effortlessly between systems, saving staff time and improving patient experience.

Through the extension of the partnership with Medfusion, Meridian’s VertexDr system will now include the ability to make payments online and at the point-of-sale; create payment plans with a card on file; deliver eStatements, eReceipts and more; and aggregate all payments and payment-related information seamlessly into a dashboard for easy reconciliation and reporting.

“We have worked with Meridian for more than five years on the clinical side, providing a patient portal that goes beyond that required by Meaningful Use to truly drive value for practices,” said John Juzaitis, Medfusion’s chief revenue officer. “By offering a complete suite of payment solutions to Meridian practices, we can help them capture a critical, and ever-increasing, revenue stream—direct patient payments.”

“Deepening our relationship with Medfusion allows us to bring even more valuable solutions to our physician groups,” said Karen Simonenko, executive vice president, Meridian Medical Management. “Offering a suite of patient payment options is a great way for practices to boost their bottom line, and because it’s fully integrated with our PM and EMR solutions, it fits easily into their workflows.”
