Payer software vendor MEDecision Inc. has named Deborah Gage as president and CEO. She succeeds founder David St. Clair, who has led the company on an interim basis since Scott Storrer resigned in August. St. Clair will remain on the board.

Gage most recently served as president and CEO at GTESS Corp., a vendor of transactions processing and administrative software for health insurers. She also had leadership positions at RosettaMed, SolutionPoint, and MEDSTAT Group.

MEDecision sells case, disease and utilization management software, as well as health information exchange, patient care summary and personal health records applications.
