The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will host a Web seminar on March 26 to give insight on the role of nurse practitioners in the electronic health records meaningful use program.

Presenters of the seminar include Bambi-McQuade Jones, DNP, an active nurse practitioner and CEO at Boone County Clinic in Lebanon, Ind.; Judy Murphy, RN, deputy national coordinator at ONC; and representatives of CMS’ Medicaid HIT Team.

McQuade will share experiences on how health IT improves her practice, and she and other presenters will discuss actionable ways for nurse practitioners to leverage meaningful use. The 90-minute seminar begins at 4:30 EST.
