McKesson Corp. has signed an agreement to offer its complete suite of pharmacy automation systems to the 66 non-urban hospitals that Health Management Associates operates in 15 states.

The three-year, sole source agreement has a simplified, fixed-pricing structure, according to the companies. Among other technologies, HMA’s hospitals can upgrade to the latest version of the AcuDose-Rx medication dispensing system, and can consolidate servers and standardize formularies and databases using the vendor’s Connect-Rx platform.

The agreement also covers data analytics and narcotics tracking software, among other applications.
