In a multi-year deal, Benefitfocus will provide Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana enterprise-level data exchange technology through its Benefitfocus Platform. Blue Cross Louisiana will use the platform to manage data exchange among its customers, affiliated partners and business systems. The Benefitfocus Platform’s “many-to-one” data exchange model consolidates multiple files from employers into one uniform file format, according to the vendor. Benefitfocus will deliver the software via the software as service model, hosting the system remotely. Terms were not disclosed.
