Roper Industries, a vendor of products and services for multiple industries, continues to expand its healthcare information technology holdings—this time buying analytics vendor Strata Decision Technology.

The acquisition will boost Roper’s healthcare analytics product line, as the company in late 2014 acquired Strategic Healthcare Programs, which sells a suite of clinical, financial and data analytics software to post-acute care facilities, with more than 3,000 sites.

Financial terms for Strata, acquired from private investment firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson, were not disclosed. Strata offers a cloud-based platform for analyses of capital planning, contract modeling, cost accounting, cost management, decision support, financial forecasting, management reporting, operational budgeting, performance improvement and strategic planning, with more than 1,000 hospital clients in the United States. CEO Dan Michelson will continue to lead the company out of its Chicago headquarters.

Roper also owns Innovative Product Achievements, which has automated surgical scrub dispensing equipment in more than 650 hospitals, and laboratory information systems vendor Sunquest. Other holdings include medical imaging systems, computer-assisted surgery systems, spectrographs, portable computers and medical carts.
