KLAS Ranks Patient Flow Vendors

A new report from KLAS Enterprises, which researches user satisfaction with health information vendors’ products, finds that 20 percent of hospitals now use patient flow systems and 90 percent of users would make the same choice again.


A new report from KLAS Enterprises, which researches user satisfaction with health information vendors' products, finds that 20 percent of hospitals now use patient flow systems and 90 percent of users would make the same choice again.

Such systems help coordinate bed management, environmental services and transport resources. The report, "Patient Flow 2011: Relieving Hospital Pressure," covers 14 vendors but focuses on the three most largest for patient flow: Allscripts (Eclipsys), McKesson and TeleTracking.

Of these vendors, McKesson scored the highest in overall user satisfaction with 87.4 out of 100 points, TeleTracking scored 82.2 and Allscripts (Eclipsys) came in at 70.6. Other vendors mentioned include ACS, CareLogistics, Central Logic, Cerner, Epic, GE Healthcare, Medworxx, Patient Focus Systems, Patient Care Technology Systems, Siemens and THOR Systems.
