KLAS Reports on Vendor MU Readiness

Interviews with nearly 600 providers using ambulatory electronic health records systems finds nearly 80 percent are confident they will meet meaningful criteria this year. Many of those interviewed however, acknowledge they are not sharing medical data and haven't implemented clinical decision support, which are two of the criteria.

Vendor research firm KLAS Enterprises conducted the interviews with users of 25 different EHRs. The interviews focused on vendor readiness to meet meaningful use criteria. Users of Epic and Greenway EHRs appear to be best positioned to qualify for meaningful use, according to KLAS. Those using Praxis, SRSsoft, simplifyMD and LSS Data appear to be the least prepared.

A new report based on the interviews, "Ambulatory EMR: A KLAS Guide to Meaningful Use Success," is available here. The cost is $980 for providers and $10,980 for non-providers.
