The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Juneau will use the Rhapsody integration engine of New Zealand-based Orion Health to link health information systems across the region.

SEARHC comprises health organizations providing care to 18 remote Alaska Native communities in an area about the size of Florida. The organizations will use Rhapsody to enable communications among disparate electronic records, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory and administrative information systems.

The consortium also expects to link to the state's immunization registry and an information system used by substance abuse treatment agencies.

More information is available at searhc.org and orionhealth.com.
