Ingenix Inc., the health information technology subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, will change its name to OptumInsight, starting in June.

The change is part of an UHG effort to bring its various health services businesses under the Optum name. OptumHealth, which offers population health management services, will retain its name. Prescription Solutions, a pharmacy benefit management firm, will become OptumRx.

Ingenix CEO Andy Slavitt and CEOs at the other two units will retain their positions and report to G. Mike Mikan, CEO of Optum, a new entity under which the units will operate. Mikan most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of UnitedHealth Group.
