Providers are not impressed with guidance from the federal government on electronic health records meaningful use provisions, according to the Quick Poll on Health Data Management's Web site.

The poll is unscientific but the numbers still are troubling. Nine percent of voters say the guidance has been good while another 20 percent call it better than expected. A whopping 58 percent believe the guidance is inadequate and sometimes confusing, with 14 percent saying it's of little use.
