Nashau, N.H.-based iCAD Inc. will develop a customized version of its computer-aided detection software for use in full-field digital mammography systems from GE Healthcare, Waukesha, Wis.
The software enables radiologists to more easily distinguish cancers from other anomalies. It detects up to 72% of actionable missed cancers an average of 15 months earlier, according to iCAD.
GE Healthcare will embed the software in its Senographe and Seno Advantage suite of imaging systems. More information is available at icadmed.com and gehealthcare.com.
