New iPhone Health App Unveiled

Canopy Financial has introduced an application that enables consumers to use their Apple iPhone or iPod touch device to access information tied to consumer-directed health plans.

The San Francisco-based firm’s Mobile Consumer Directed Healthcare application is designed for those with health savings accounts, health reimbursement accounts and flexible spending accounts.

The application enables consumers to search medical procedures using keywords to determine if they are eligible to be paid for out of these accounts. It also provides links to maps of local providers of the procedures and their charges.
