Hyland Software at the American Health Information Management Association annual conference in Chicago introduced version 12 of its OnBase enterprise content management system for health care with multiple new functions.

Among the enhancements, users now can visually create workflows with a graphical user interface, and can self-create new forms that also support enhanced data analytics, according to the vendor.

Physicians using the system now can sign documents such as a consent for surgery, an order or a prescription on any smartphone or tablet.
