Hospitals Hit Stage 6 EHR Milestone
Three hospitals of Houston-based Memorial Hermann Healthcare System have reached Stage 6 of HIMSS Analytics’ 0-7 scale of electronic health records adoption.
Three hospitals of Houston-based Memorial Hermann Healthcare System have reached Stage 6 of HIMSS Analytics' 0-7 scale of electronic health records adoption.
The hospitals are Memorial Hermann Katy, Sugar Land and Southeast. Hermann Memorial has created a single EHR across its 11 hospitals. Advanced capabilities at the three Stage 6 hospitals include complete digital imaging, speech recognition for physician reports, bar-coded medication administration, computerized physician order entry and clinical decision support.
According to HIMSS Analytics, 150 hospitals now have reached Stage 6 and 52 are at Stage 7. More information is available at memorialhermann.org and himssanalytics.org.
