The service starts with data from 62 hospitals, with five more being added this month. The data can help assess such performance measures as length of stay, door-to-provider time, and left without being seen, among others. Hospitals can compare their measures with those of peer facilities similar in ED volume or automation levels.
Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky., is an early user of the service and is finding it valuable to identify process improvement opportunities, says Karen Newman, R.N., vice president and chief nursing officer. A link to the data is available here, registration is required.
