LegiNation, which operates an online federal and state legislative tracking Web site, has added a service focused on tracking state activity to implement health insurance exchanges mandated under the Affordable Care Act.

Under the law, states must have an operational exchange by 2014 or the federal government will provide one. A subscription to the new BillTrack50 PPACA Tracker service through 2013 is available for $500. Many states are waiting on the outcome of the November elections, so there could be frenzied activity on exchanges in 2013, according to the company.

Tracking services available include a list of changes and additions from the previous day for each state, a list with links of relevant documents for any state, a summary email of new activity each day, and all legislation introduced pertaining to health insurance exchanges. The site is available here.
