HIT Policy, Standards Committees Seek New Members

The HIT Policy and Standards Committees, comprised of stakeholders who advise federal agencies on health information technology issues, are looking for some new members.


The HIT Policy and Standards Committees, comprised of stakeholders who advise federal agencies on health information technology issues, are looking for some new members.

Both committees have considerable influence in policymaking, particularly policy related to the electronic health records meaningful use program. The Standards Committee has openings for a consumer/patient representative, technical expert on electronic exchange, and technical expert on quality issues. The Policy Committee has an opening for a public health representative.

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology is accepting applications for the positions until Noon on March 3. Applications can be submitted here.
