HIT contract wins: New portal client for Influence Health

Cerner picks up two more deals in HDM’’s weekly round-up of new sales.


Three-hospital Freeman Health System in Joplin, Mo., has selected the EMPOWER enterprise patient portal of Influence Health to offer patients a single-sign-on view of personal health and medical records across the delivery system. Freeman Health totals 460 beds across its hospitals, serving a population of 450,000 residents in parts of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

SoutheastHEALTH and Missouri Delta Medical Center, both serving the southeast part of the state, have selected the Cerner Millennium electronic health record for their facilities. Southeast HEALTH also will implement the vendor’s financial suite and patient portal. Missouri Delta Medical Center picked up Cerner’s CommunityWorks software to support rural community care.

Salem Regional Medical Center in Ohio has signed to get Meditech’s 6.1 electronic health record. The 199-bed hospital sought a fully integrated EHR that supports surgical, oncology and critical care. Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, and Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Miss., also recently bought the 6.1 EHR.

Rehabilitation provider Kindred Healthcare, providing services to 2,700 hospitals, nursing homes and in-patient rehabilitation units, will deploy the Dolphin suite of accounts payable software as it seeks to standardize financial processes. Dolphin previously helped the organization with management and retention of critical human resources documentation.

Sixteen-hospital St. Joseph Health in Irvine, Calif., will implement a surveillance data analytics package from Clearsense. Pilot testing is slated to start in the fall of 2016. St. Joseph Health also invested in Clearsense, a start-up that recently completed its technology incubation phase.
