Melbourne, Fla.-based Harris Corp. announced the rollout of the FusionFX integration platform designed to create community-level information exchange capabilities amongst providers.

The open-services platform is already in use at Chicago-based delivery systems Presence Health and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, as well as Minneapolis-based Allina Health Systems. Richard Ferrans, system vice president at Presence, said the platform will be utilized as the core infrastructure for the delivery system’s Medicare accountable care and clinical integration programs that involve more than 1,000 physicians.

FusionFX is being used to tie data from practices, pharmacies, long-term care facilities and other health facilities to create a single patient view that provides encounter timelines, referral management and secure messaging capabilities, among other functions.
