President Bill Clinton and combative political consultants James Carville and Karl Rove are among the confirmed keynote speakers for the 2013 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans next March.

Clinton will speak at 1 p.m. on March 6 with Carville and Rove closing the show by debating each other on issues of the day at 12:30 p.m. on March 7. Eric Topol, M.D., a cardiologist, geneticist and chair of innovative medicine at Scripps Health, is another confirmed keynoter. He’ll talk at 8:30 a.m. on March 5 on new effective ways of treating patients while lowering costs.

Registration for HIMSS13 will open in mid-September and attendees can start booking hotel reservations now, with exhibitor hotel bookings soon available. More information is at himssconference.org.
