San Diego-based Peak provides a range of coding, auditing and clinical document improvement services to providers and payers. Health Data Essentials offers consulting services and proprietary analytics software to assist health plans that contract with Medicare and Medicaid managed care programs to meet criteria for quality bonuses.
Peak receives financial backing from private equity firm EDG Partners and expects aggressive product development in coming months to extend services to Medicaid managed care organizations and insurers that will participate in state insurance exchanges. Peak’s services, combined with the expertise of Health Data Essentials’ consultants, can assist insurance exchanges and their insurer partners in navigating new financial, quality reporting and regulatory challenges, according to the companies.
