The Healthcare Financial Management Association has given its "peer reviewed by HFMA" designation to the Lynx E/Point emergency department charge capture software of Picis Inc., Wakefield, Mass.

The application enables more predictable and appropriate charge capture for services, while helping hospitals maintain compliance and recover revenue previously unrecognized because of documentation problems, according to the vendor.

To earn peer review status, products must score highly on a number of factors, including enhanced productivity, ease of use and reliability, according to Westchester, Ill.-based HFMA.

More information is available at picis.com.
