HealthSouth Picks Cerner for EHRs

HealthSouth Corp. will standardized its core clinical information systems with Cerner Millennium across its 97 rehabilitation facilities in 32 states.

The Birmingham, Ala.-based provider will use Millennium PowerChart as the core EHR, along with additional modules including order sets, computerized physician order entry and closed-loop medication administration. Pilot site Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia is currently live.

Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner Corp. will host and manage the applications.
