Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center has purchased health care content and imaging from A.D.A.M. Inc., Atlanta.
The 900-bed delivery system will use the vendor's content on its Web site to offer a unified source of medical information. Before signing with A.D.A.M., Loma Linda used various sources of medical information on its site, including internally written medical documents.
The new technology will enable site visitors to research illnesses, associated symptoms and treatments, plus gain access to articles on general wellness topics in English or Spanish. Patients who visit the site also will be able to research their chronic conditions with online care guides, cross-referenced text and videos. Loma Linda also plans to link the health care content and tools to its various hospital service lines and physician directory.
