ONC Awards Contracts for NHIN Help

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology in recent weeks has awarded three contracts to Stanley Inc. for work on the emerging nationwide health information network.

The Arlington, Va.-based company, with 5,000 employees, is a government contractor specializing in information systems engineering and integration, operational support, and business process management.

Under a two-year, $6 million contract announced on Aug. 2, Stanley will provide services to support the "onboarding" of participants into the network. The tasks include issuing digital certificates, updating network directories and providing help desk support. Subcontractors for the projects are Nitor Group Ltd. and 5am Solutions Inc.

Under two contracts totaling $15 million over two years and announced on Aug. 12, the Stanley will develop and maintain a standards repository with related tools, and manage the testing infrastructure for the network. Subcontractors include Nitor Group Ltd., 5am Solutions Inc. and AEGIS.net Inc.
