Fed Advisors Look to Stage 2

The HIT Policy Committee has formed the Quality Measures Workgroup to produce initial recommendations for prioritizing quality measures for Stage 2 electronic health records meaningful use criteria.

The workgroup also will study processes pertaining to measuring gaps and opportunities. David Blumenthal, M.D., national coordinator for health information technology, will chair the workgroup. Its 23 other members represent the private sector.
