Florida earlier this year received $20.74 million in HITECH Act grant funding for development of a statewide HIE.
Melbourne, Fla.-based Harris is a veteran contractor for government agencies and commercial businesses. The company was the prime contractor in a federally paid project to create the CONNECT downloadable networking software to ease secure exchange of protected health information over the Internet.
