Gulf Coast Medical Center Picks Documentation Vendor

Panama City, Fla.-based Gulf Coast Medical Center will use software from Wolters Kluwer Health to document and code gastroenterology procedures. Gulf Coast is a 176-bed regional referral center with more than 300 physicians. The Provation MD software will enable gastroenterology specialists to sidestep dictation and transcription, and complete their documentation at the point of care, according to the vendor. In addition, the software generates ICD and CPT codes based upon what the physician enters. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
